Yazan:Fatih KABAKCI Java programlarında sıklıkla bulunan static main fonksiyonu gibi,alt kanalları türeten,başka kanalları çalıştıran varsayılan ana bir kanal bulunmaktadır.Bu kanal main thread olarak isimlendirilmiştir. Her java programı en az bir sınıf içerdiği gibi,çalışırken en az 1 kanal içermektedir.Yani siz bir thread mekanizması yazmasanızda,esasen arka planda programınızın altında çalışan bir main thread bulunmaktadır.Bu ana kanal bir Thread referansı ile kontrol edilebilir. Bir Thread referansı oluşturmak için basitçe; static Thread currentThread() prototipli static metodu kullanılmaktadır.Oluşturulacak bir Thread referansına,currentThread() metodu uygulandığında,artık herhangi bir kanal gibi kullanılacaktır.Aşağıda bu metodun kullanımı ve ana kanalı tanıtan basit bir örnek program gösterilmektedir. statik currentThread() metodu ile oluşturulan bir Thread referansı ana kanal hakkında bilgi toplamaktadır.ID değeri işletim sistemine bağlı olarak üzerinde çalışan Java virtual machine(Java Sanal Makinesi) tarafından genellikle 1'den başlayarak artarak gitmektedir.Bu programda sadece main thread bulunduğundan ID numarası 1 olarak gösterilmektedir.Ismi varsayılan olarak 'main' olan bu kanalın öncelik(PRIORITY) değeri 5 olarak görülmektedir.Öncelik değeri ise azaldıkça öncelik artmaktadır.Kanalın halen hayatta olduğunu gösteren isAlive() metodu Thread sınıfında yer almaktadır. Bir kanalı kesmek için interrupt() metodu kullanılmaktadır.Ayrıca yukarıdaki programda görüldüğü gibi main kanalının kesmeye uğramadan önceki ve sonraki durumları gösterilmektedir.Bir java programı sona erdiğinde işlev gören tüm kanallarda sona erer.Cogunlukla ise en son sona erecek kanal ana kanal olmalidir.
